More February

03 Mar

I suppose I could have saved this post and made this my March sweater, but not only did I knit most of it in February, I am also not happy with it. So I don’t want it to be my official March sweater.

This is the Brittania sweater, knit in Plymouth Encore. I love the yarn; the color reminds me of green nonpareils. I felt a craving for them the whole time I was knitting the sweater, but tracking them down was more effort than I was willing to give them. However, this was not a great yarn for this pattern. This sweater really needs more drape.

Pros:

  1. Nice yarn to knit with
  2. Quick, easy pattern

Cons:

  1. This sweater took much longer than it should have because I kept messing up
  2. Long V-necks don’t actually look good on me

Conclusion: While not itchy, it isn’t flattering either. I think I’m going to shove this in a tupperware for a few months and then frog it.

It was so big, it would have fit dad. But I can make you something similar that actually fits.

You should give it to dad then, I’m sure he would rock it.
